Chief Executive Officer & Founder of Crown Digital

Keith Tan founded Crown Digital, a Robotics and Coffee start-up aimed at solving challenges in the F&B industry. Prior to his entrepreneurial journey, Keith worked in the wealth management industry. In 2016, he opened Crown Coffee’s first outlet, but encountered difficulties in scaling the business due to a lack of skilled labor, high rental costs, and maintaining consistent quality. This motivated Keith to explore ways to infuse science and technology into coffee making, resulting in the development of his own robotic barista named Ella. Keith’s vision for Ella has led to the creation of unmanned retail solutions that digitally transform F&B businesses, allowing them to scale and engage consumers through innovative digital touchpoints.

Keith actively leads Crown Digital’s expansion efforts, bringing Ella to Singapore, Japan, and soon to North America, GCC, and Europe. His goal is to make Crown Digital the largest coffee beverages operator powered by AI and robotics, offering consistently-brewed artisanal coffee. In his free time, Keith enjoys go-karting, watching Formula 1, working out, and traveling to experience different cultures and craftsmanship.
