Vista Innotech (VIT), received the gold medal at the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area High-value Patent Portfolio Layout Competition 2022

We are thrilled to announce that our portfolio company, Vista Innotech (VIT), has received the gold medal at the “Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area High-value Patent Portfolio Layout Competition 2022“. This is a remarkable achievement and the first gold medal won by a Hong Kong team since 2019.

The competition, organized by various government departments including the Intellectual Property Department, has been held annually in the Great Bay Area (GBA) since 2019. This year, there was a cash award of RMB 4M for all the winners and RMB 200k cash award for each gold-award winner.

The award-winning Micro Gimbal Stabilizer (MGS), developed by VIT, is the smallest gimbal stabilizer camera with over 80 patents in various countries. It has a performance that is up to four times better than traditional OIS solutions, making it a highly valuable product. The MGS patent portfolio layout is valued at over RMB 600M according to a report by the competition. The MGS can be adopted in most mobile cameras, including smartphones, drones, body-worn cameras, and robots.
